I am an opal birthstone so I am not sure if I am drawn to it for the same reason I am drawn to my birthstone; it's different. It definitely is a versatile piece. I don't feel like you need to be dressed up to wear this... and yet you could be. I love the calming aspect.
I need as much calm in my life as I can get.

So, I just bought this product.
I love the botanical smell.
I love the gentle feel.
I love what that it is a shield from pollutants and has adaptogens aka botanical extracts that help to protect my skin from environmental stressors.

I used this skincare product a lot over the summer.
It has a high SPF content and is a great for hydration. 
I get small dry spots above my eyebrow from time to time and this has helped to keep my skin smooth.
